for this far right politics, and virginia in particular. voting again for president obama and electing a democratic senator. virginia is increasingly a moderate state. we're not in texas, my home state. if kucuccinelli were running in texas, arizona, even in georgia, these types of politics wouldn't just hurt him, they'd help him, but he's not. he's running in virginia, the land of whole food moms and dads. but at a broader level i find the cuccinelli race interesting because i think it might be a precursor to what we may see in the midterms and perhaps in the 2016 presidential election. we already hear some rumblings about perry getting back into the race, santorum -- >> oh, lord help us, no. please. >> i swear. >> please, no, not the return of rick perry. you cannot be serious. >> i swear to you. >> oh, lord. okay, jimmy, mr. cuccinelli, he sued over obama care, lost. sued the epa, lost. is there anything more dangerous to a political party than a leader who consistently picks fight he loses? >> how many times do you have to lose to be kaumd a loser. >> right. >> let's be honest abou

to the country and keep the grassroots momentum that had brought obama to office going after the election. two things happened. one, people felt that fizzled out. a lot of people said, wait a minute. we were good enough to invite to the dance but not good enough to dance with. others felt, we were brought in not organizing for america but organizing for obama. do we really have a voice in the health care debate. this time, they are trying to do it differently. the question is, what will the administration find as it goes out into the country. are its priorities in this discussion about the deficit, the people's priorities that brought the administration to office and what will they do at some of those meetings as people say, well, we also want to talk about raising the minimum wage. we also want to talk about workers and the condition of work in this country. that stimulus spending, maybe it is not big enough. there is definitely an effort to redo some of the mistakes of the last term. they are in the same peril louse situation. >> we are looking at the $1.6 billion in tax increases. those are

heights and series of cuts due to begin in january. president barack obama said he will do whatever it takes to get this done and also today, president barack obama will have lunch at the white house with mitt romney, his former rival. during his election speech he said he would reach out to mitt romney and he is doing it. the white house has no specific ideas but they are looking forward to making the government work more efficiently. >>> there is an accident in the east bay, a big-rig slammed into three parked cars and has spilled diesel. it slammed into these cars here and the fire department is trying to mop up the diesel fuel spill. this is right between san leandro and cost trough valley. and it is off of 162nd avenue and you can see that it has created quite a mess there, so the crews will be there for quite some time trying to contain this. it did happen almost an hour ago so they have been on the scene almost an hour ago. you can see traffic is flowing nicely in both directions and in san francisco, we have a look at 101 and traffic is on the right-hand side as you drive t
